Electrical Engineer - Corrugated Packaging

Hours;
Week 1 - 6-2pm
Week 2 - 2-10pm
Week 3 - 10pm-6am
Salary - DOE
The Company: The opportunity for a Mechanical / Electrical engineer to join a leading packaging manufacturer who create innovative, high-quality, cost-effective corrugated cardboard packaging.
The role:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on automated packaging equipment.
- Install, commission, and test electrical systems and machinery.
- Support continuous improvement projects to increase equipment reliability and production efficiency.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and industrial automation equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the company's maintenance management system.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime and improve plant performance.
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installations.
Electrical Engineer Skills required:
- Recognised electrical engineering qualification (Level 3 or above, HNC/HND or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Ideally have experience of the following machines; a Corrugator, LMC P1230, Weipong, Martin 924, M924, Emba 245, Emba 170, LMC 2 colour, LMC 5 Colour
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery and industrial automation.
- Experience with electrical maintenance, motors, drives, sensors, and control panels.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
