This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in print manufacturing, packaging or a similar production environment who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys being part of a fast-paced, hands-on operation.

Working on our Komori printing press, you'll play an important role in ensuring that every print run is produced safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

If you have a keen eye for detail, understand the importance of print quality and take pride in getting the job right first time, we'd love to hear from you.

Purpose of a Lithographic Print Minder:

As a Print Minder, you'll be responsible for supporting the successful running of print jobs from preparation through to completion.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Checking all materials delivered to the print area before production begins.
  • Ensuring control cards and plate bags have been correctly authorised.
  • Supporting the make-ready process and ensuring make-ready sheets are correctly identified and segregated.
  • Monitoring print quality throughout each production run.
  • Identifying, clearly marking and segregating any non-conforming material.
  • Ensuring every printed stack of board is correctly identified and sequentially numbered against the relevant production order.
  • Completing all required quality control checks accurately for each print run.
  • Ensuring control cards and stack identification cards are completed and signed correctly.
  • Checking finished printed board against the approved Fogra proof before release.
  • Ensuring only conforming and satisfactory product is released for further processing.
  • Releasing completed job bags to the next stage of production.
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards within the print area.
  • Completing scheduled cleaning and maintenance activities.
  • Correctly identifying, handling and disposing of chemical waste in accordance with company procedures.
  • Working safely and following all company quality, environmental and health & safety procedures.

What they're looking for:

We're looking for someone who combines technical understanding with a strong commitment to quality.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Print Minder, Printer, Press Operator or similar role.
  • Experience within a printing, packaging or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of working with sheet-fed printing machinery would be advantageous.
  • Experience with Komori presses would be highly desirable.
  • A good understanding of print quality and production standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot print defects or inconsistencies.
  • The ability to accurately complete production and quality documentation.
  • A strong understanding of the importance of product identification and traceability.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • A positive, reliable and team-focused approach.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of housekeeping, quality and safety.

The shift pattern

This is a rotating days and nights position, so you must be comfortable working both day and night shifts.

The role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy production environment and is looking for a long-term opportunity within the manufacturing and packaging industry.
