Mechanical Engineer - Corrugated Packaging

Hours;
Week 1 - 6-2pm
Week 2 - 2-10pm
Week 3 - 10pm-6am
Salary - DOE
The Company: The opportunity for a Mechanical / Electrical engineer to join a leading packaging manufacturer who create innovative, high-quality, cost-effective corrugated cardboard packaging.
The role:
- Preventive Maintenance
- Root Cause Analysis
- Quality Control
- Project Management
- Participate in continuous development and training
- Liaise with colleagues and other departments to enhance efficiencies
- Adhere to policies and procedures relating to health, safety and quality
- To carry out PPM's, react to production breakdowns and follow inspection routines according to SOP and schedule
- Adhere to site and corporate health and safety policies
- Ability to manage a schedule of work on a daily basis
- Strong understanding of continuous improvement measures
- Make contact with suppliers to obtain competitive quotations for parts to maintain Plant Equipment and effectiveness.
- Working on machines such as; A Corrugator, LMC P1230, Weipong, Martin 924
- Help to install new machinery including - M924, Emba 245, Emba 170, LMC 2 colour, LMC 5 Colour
Mechanical Engineer Skills required:
- Must have previous mechanical engineering experience
- FMCG and/or Packaging manufacturing is beneficial.
- Computer literate
- Demonstrate experience of working to high quality standards
- Good attention to detail.
- Flexible team player with an ability to operate with minimum supervision
- Can perform risk assessments with a high level of health & safety awareness
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience of corrugated packaging and printing is beneficial
