About the business:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Flexographic Printer to join a well-established and growing printing and packaging company. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator to work with high-quality flexographic printing equipment, producing printed materials on substrates such as self-adhesive paper and film.
About the role as a Flexographic Printer:
As a Flexographic Printer, you will operate and maintain flexographic printing presses while ensuring high standards of print quality and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities of a Flexographic Printer:
- Set up and operate flexographic printing presses
- Mount printing plates and cylinders accurately
- Prepare and mix inks to required colour specifications
- Adjust machine settings including speed, pressure and alignment
- Monitor print runs for colour accuracy, registration and consistency
- Inspect printed materials and maintain quality standards
- Troubleshoot printing or mechanical issues during production
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and cleaning
- Maintain production records and job documentation
- Follow all health & safety procedures
Skills & Experience for a Flexographic Printer
- Experience operating a narrow web flexographic printing press
- Knowledge of printing processes, substrates and inks
- Ability to read job sheets and technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Good mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work effectively to production deadlines
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
