Zund Operator - Production / Large Format Print
Location: Irlam
Salary: From £26,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, rotating weekly between 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00

The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Zund Operator to join a busy and fast-paced production business based in Irlam.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the print and manufacturing industry, working with specialist cutting equipment as part of an established production team.
Previous experience operating a Zund cutting machine would be an advantage, but it is not essential. The company is happy to consider candidates with experience using other types of production machinery or cutting equipment, provided they have a good attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to work accurately.
Full on-the-job training will be provided to help the successful candidate develop the skills and knowledge required to operate the machinery effectively.
The Role
Working within the production department, you will be responsible for operating cutting equipment and supporting the wider production process.
Your duties will include:
- Operating Zund cutting machinery to process a variety of production materials.
- Learning the correct machine settings and operating procedures.
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and to the required quality standards.
- Carrying out visual quality checks on finished products.
- Handling materials and finished items safely and efficiently.
- Supporting general production duties when required.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Working alongside other members of the production team to ensure daily targets and deadlines are achieved.
- Following all relevant health and safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be comfortable working in a busy production environment.
You should ideally have:
- Previous experience operating production machinery, cutting equipment or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Experience within print, large-format graphics or manufacturing would be beneficial.
- An understanding of quality control and the importance of producing work to a high standard.
- Experience with manual handling and working with production materials.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- A willingness to learn new machinery, processes and production techniques.
- A reliable and committed approach to work.
- The flexibility to work a rotating weekly double-day shift pattern.
Direct Zund experience is preferred but not essential. Candidates with transferable experience from other production or manufacturing environments will also be considered.
