Social Media Senior Account Manager or Account Director

An industry-leading agency in Manchester is on the lookout for a talented Social Media Senior Account Manager or Account Director requiring 3 days in the office per week.

They're looking for someone with agency-side social media experience, in the B2B and corporate space with excellent consultancy and client management skills.

This role is ideal for a strategic and creative thinker who can flex across briefs and platforms. You'll be comfortable with leading large programmes for big-name brands, providing paid media counsel and oversight and leveraging the latest social trends to develop and present social media strategies.

You will work with a brilliant team of social media specialists who all share an enthusiasm for new ideas and innovation. You'll also be able to use your experience to support and mentor junior colleagues to develop their skills and confidence. ​

Role Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the development and delivery of client programmes
  • Acting as day-to-day client lead, building strong relationships and providing excellent client counsel
  • Building a deep understanding of clients' sectors, audiences and the social media landscape to deliver exceptional client work
  • Overseeing paid social advice and execution on your client programmes
  • Leading creative idea generation, content planning, quality control and measurement across multiple client programmes
  • Commercial responsibility for key clients, including proactively driving client growth
  • Line managing and mentoring junior team members by contributing to our learning and development programme
  • Supporting on the development of new business proposals

Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on B2B / corporate social
  • Genuine passion for social media and a strong understanding of how brands can best leverage channels
  • Strong eye for creative excellence and the ability to produce compelling social content
  • Strong critical thinking and exceptional track record of leading clients and/or teams
  • Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders and consistently deliver exceptional results
  • A positive and flexible attitude to work, with the ability to build relationships collaboratively across the business at all levels
  • Ability to mentor and nurture the careers of colleagues
