Position: Structural CAD Designer
Location: Wellingborough
Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm

Would you like to work for as a Structural CAD Designer for a company that specialises within Labels, Linerless and Packaging. My clients provide packaging for a variety of sectors including Fresh Produce, Bakery, Meat & Fish, Confectionary, Gift Packs, Health & Beauty, and Household & DIY. If you have experience working as a CAD Designer within the packaging industry, we would love to hear from you.
Key Duties of a Structural CAD Designer:
- Proofing of rigid boxes and related products.
- Liaising with customers
- Creating cutter guides and artwork templates using Arden Impact CAD software.
- Setting up files for and ordering outwork.
- Measuring products and creating foam or card fitments to hold the products inside the boxes.
- Creating high quality mock-ups using our Zund S3 CAD Cutter.
Key Skills
- Impeccable proofing skills.
- Extensive experience in the packaging industry.
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Enfocus Pitstop Pro
- Packaging specific CAD (Arden Impact preferred)
- Experience with CAD Cutters (Zund preferred)
- Mock up skills
Additional Skills for a Structural CAD Designer:
- The ability to design complex rigid boxes would be beneficial but not essential.
